Vermont Verde Antique
is a rich green serpentine marble quarried in the Green Mountains of
Vermont since the early 1900’s.
It has the warmth and look of marble yet is harder and less
porous than many types of granite, making it an excellent choice for
kitchen countertops.
The geologic makeup of Vermont Verde Antique is a serpentine making
for a very durable stone that requires low maintenance.
Due to its mineral composition the stone is
impermeable to
stains and resist etching from acids.
The color range is very good, with the main variation being the
amount of white or light green veining present.
These nice large slabs come with a polished or leather
finish.
